Chelsea in Bloom 2026: Artisans Creating Beautiful Displays in London
Several of London's prestigious streets are full of colour in May. Chelsea In Bloom 2026 and Belgravia in Bloom 2026 bring world-class floral artistry to the streets, boutiques, and grand hotels of two of the capital's upmarket areas — completely free for everyone to enjoy.
There is something truly magical about watching skilled florists and artisans transform a London street into a living work of art. This year's displays are more breathtaking than ever, and we were lucky enough to capture some of the artisans at work as they brought these spectacular creations to life.

A skilled artisan florist working on Granado's display
Florists have created a large display outside the Granado store on King's Road. It is based on the Brazilian Goddess of the Sea - lemanja. Worshippers present her with gifts, including fresh and artificial flowers.
Chelsea In Bloom takes place from Monday, 18th May to Sunday, 24th May and this year the theme is 'Out of This World.' The floral displays feature space travel, astrology and spiritual symbolism. As you walk around looking at the brilliant displays remember to turn off the main streets and also to look up -Chelsea has some special visitors this week !
Chelsea In Bloom is 21 years old this year. For many people this annual free show is a welcome alternative to the nearby Chelsea Flower Show. Once again the organisers Cadogan Estates have joined with the Royal Horticultural Society and many local, national and international businesses to make this enjoyable event possible. Over 140 companies are competing to win one of the awards for their displays.
What to see this year
There are six large floral displays to look out for as you walk around the streets. One of them is not located on a main road and we suggest that you don't miss it. If you have curious young children with you be prepared to answer their questions about this particular display. Walk along the pretty Pavilion Road to discover what is there...
There is an information point based in Sloane Square. You can book a walking tour here. If there are places available an event guide will show you the displays starting at 11am and 3pm. As usual, most of the displays are located in and around Sloane Square so you can start from here, especially if arriving at the Underground station.

Finishing the large Moon and Astronaut
The street display at Duke of York Square on King's Road features a Moon and a giant Astronaut. This is another brilliant display that has taken many hours to design and create.

Symbols of the zodiac signs at Sloane Square
Sloane Square is taken over with the displays of the signs of the zodiac and flowers.

Aliens have landed on Pavilion Road in Chelsea
When you see the street display built on Pavilion Road, at the junction with Symons Street, you will be amazed. This colourful and perhaps futuristic creation is perfect for this year's Out of This World theme.
Fortunately Pavilion Road is pedestrianised so you will be able to get close up to the three aliens. This is your chance to take a photograph of yourself standing next to them and then tell people what you have just experienced !
Walk along this street and you will find several artisan food shops, cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
